Nearly 1,000 doctors and nurses register for jobs in Ho Chi Minh City

A health-sector job fair in Ho Chi Minh City has drawn 970 applicants for 806 vacancies, but the balance differs sharply by profession.

Doctors make up 747 of the applicants, or 77 percent. Nurses account for 112 applicants, medical technicians for 91 and midwives for 20. The city’s 94 registered hospitals, health stations and regional medical centers are seeking 327 doctors and 479 nurses, midwives and medical technicians.

The number of doctors seeking work is therefore well above the advertised demand. By contrast, registrations from nurses and medical technicians cover only about half the number of positions that health facilities want to fill.

The fourth Ho Chi Minh City health-sector job fair for 2026 will take place on the morning of September 10 at the Long Dat Regional Medical Center. Applicants with professional practice licenses from anywhere in the country can attend. Participating facilities will interview and recruit candidates directly.

Applicants must bring photocopies of diplomas, certificates, practice licenses and other relevant documents. The city health department will provide transport for registered candidates between central Ho Chi Minh City and the venue. Pham Ngoc Thach Hospital has listed the largest demand, with 60 positions, followed by Thu Duc Regional General Hospital with 57 and the Rehabilitation and Occupational Disease Treatment Hospital with 52.
