Nearly 30-degree heat expected soon in Lithuania

Lithuania is bracing for a significant heatwave, with temperatures predicted to climb to nearly 30 degrees Celsius by the upcoming weekend. The shift in weather follows a period of moderate temperatures and intermittent rain.

Looking ahead to Thursday, the forecast indicates a gradual warming trend. Daytime temperatures are expected to range from 18 to 23 degrees Celsius across much of the country. However, coastal areas will experience slightly cooler conditions, with temperatures between 15 and 17 degrees Celsius. Overnight temperatures during this period are predicted to be between 8 and 13 degrees Celsius, with minimal rainfall expected.

As the weekend approaches, the warming trend is set to continue. While brief and light showers may occur in some areas, the wind is expected to moderate. Nighttime temperatures will rise to between 10 and 15 degrees Celsius, and daytime highs will climb to 20-25 degrees Celsius. The peak of the heat is anticipated over the weekend, with some locations potentially reaching close to the 30-degree mark.
