Nearly half of Baba Alino buildings unregistered in Varna cadastre

A recent survey revealed that almost half of the 128 buildings in the Baba Alino area near Varna are not officially registered in the cadastre. This finding highlights a significant issue with unregistered construction in the region.

To address this, a comprehensive aerial laser scanning operation was performed using a drone. This was complemented by photogrammetric surveying of the informal settlement located in the Baba Alino area. The objective was to accurately map the extent of the construction and identify unregistered structures.

The survey successfully generated a highly precise 3D model of the settlement, with accuracy levels of 2-3 centimeters. This detailed model was created in collaboration with the Varna branch of the Chamber of Architects, indicating a concerted effort to understand and potentially regularize the situation in Baba Alino.
