Negeri Sembilan DAP: Incumbents to form majority of candidates

The Democratic Action Party (DAP) in Negeri Sembilan is poised to retain a significant majority of its incumbent assembly members as candidates for the upcoming state elections. More than half of the seats are expected to be contested by those currently holding office.

DAP Secretary-General Anthony Loke Siew Fook announced that the final list of candidates for Negeri Sembilan will be confirmed within the coming days before being revealed in stages. He indicated that the party is prioritizing continuity in its candidate selection for the state.

"I can say that in the context of Negeri Sembilan, more than half of the candidates who will contest are incumbents in their respective areas, including myself," Loke stated, confirming his own candidacy. This approach suggests a strategy focused on leveraging the familiarity and established presence of current representatives.
