Nepali student in Osijek teaches valuable lessons

Som Bahadur Baraili, a theology student at the Evangelical Theological College in Osijek, stands as the sole Nepali national pursuing higher education in Croatia. Initially arriving in the country in search of employment, Baraili discovered his true path at the college, a journey he attributes to divine will.

Baraili has become a familiar and welcome face among his peers at the college. He actively leads a Nepali Christian community within the local Baptist church and dedicates time to preparing meals for fellow foreign workers from Asian countries who are laboring in Osijek.

Currently, Baraili is not employed, as his studies are supported by a scholarship that also covers his accommodation in the student dormitory. His positive integration into the Osijek student community is evident, with fellow students frequently approaching him, offering greetings, and inviting him for coffee.
