Netanyahu offered Likud campaign role to creator of Oct. 7 atrocities film

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has offered advertising executive Yuval Horowitz a key role in managing the Likud party's election campaign. Horowitz is known for his involvement in creating the IDF's "Bearing Witness to the October 7th Massacre" film and for leading Netanyahu's United Nations QR code campaign.

Horowitz, vice president of creative at Keshet's commercial division, joined the IDF Spokesperson's Unit early in the war and received a Chief of Staff's Award for his contributions. The "Bearing Witness" film, officially titled, was compiled by the IDF Spokesperson's Unit using raw footage that documented the Hamas-led massacre on October 7, 2023. This footage included graphic scenes captured from body cameras worn by Hamas members.

The 47-minute film, which has been described as containing extreme violence, has largely been restricted to private, invitation-only screenings for policymakers, journalists, diplomats, and community leaders globally. The Jerusalem Post reported that the compilation utilized Hamas body-camera recordings, dash cams, CCTV footage, and videos from victims' phones.

Horowitz also played a significant role in the public diplomacy efforts surrounding Netanyahu's address to the UN General Assembly in September 2025. He was responsible for the QR code initiative embedded in a special hostage pin worn by Netanyahu and other Israeli delegates. This QR code linked to a website showcasing documentation of the October 7 atrocities. The campaign also featured "Remember October 7" visuals on billboards near UN headquarters and Times Square.
