Netflix's 'One Piece' Star Iñaki Godoy to Headline Comic Con Astana 2026

Astana will host the 2026 edition of Comic Con, with Mexican actor Iñaki Godoy, who stars as Monkey D. Luffy in Netflix's "One Piece," announced as a headline guest. The festival is scheduled for August 6-9 in Kazakhstan's capital.

Godoy joins previously announced guest Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, known for his role as Jaime Lannister in "Game of Thrones." The event will also feature popular bloggers, content creators, and global cosplay industry representatives, including Kamui Cosplay and Kazakhstan's own blogger Dalbek.

The festival will utilize two venues: Barys Arena for the main stage and guest appearances, and Alau Ice Palace for exhibition zones, partner booths, gaming areas, and interactive entertainment. A major highlight will be the international cosplay contest, offering a prize fund of 20 million tenge (approximately $42,363), positioning it as one of the largest in the region.

Comic Con Astana has grown into Central Asia's largest pop culture festival, having previously hosted notable guests such as Mads Mikkelsen and Andy Serkis.
