New academic year at Kyrgyzstan’s vocational lyceums will run until July 3, 2027

The 2026-2027 academic year at Kyrgyzstan’s vocational lyceums will start on September 15, 2026, and finish on July 3, 2027.

The Education Ministry said the schedule aims to set an appropriate length for the academic year in initial vocational education and distribute the study workload rationally.

The Cabinet of Ministers has also amended the rules governing vocational education institutions. The authorized state body responsible for education will now determine when the academic year begins and ends.

The revised rules prohibit schools from diverting students during lessons to work unrelated to the educational process.
