New Details Emerge on Liam Payne's Final Hours in Argentina

New documents have surfaced, shedding light on the final hours of Liam Payne, the former One Direction singer who tragically died at age 31 in October 2024. Payne fell from the balcony of the CasaSur Palermo hotel in Buenos Aires. The autopsy confirmed his death was due to polytrauma and multiple fractures, with toxicology reports indicating the presence of alcohol, cocaine, and antidepressants.

Recently obtained documents from the Daily Mail, along with police investigation photographs, depict Payne spending time with two sex workers inside his hotel room. The images reportedly show the British artist dancing around a pole the previous night, and hotel staff delivering alcoholic beverages to his room. The sex workers allegedly told investigators that Payne performed songs for them and asked where he could procure cocaine, even expressing a desire to prepare crack cocaine.

Prosecutors had previously stated that hotel employees escorted Payne to his room from the lobby. It was later reported that Payne was apparently attempting to flee the hotel when he fell from the third floor. A source mentioned a prior incident in Florida where his bodyguard had locked him in an apartment due to suspected drug use, but Payne managed to escape using a hose from the terrace.

Legally, in December 2024, an Argentine prosecutor had accused five individuals of potential involvement in Payne's death and for allegedly supplying him with drugs. However, several months later, in February 2025, the Chamber of Appeals dismissed charges of culpable homicide against three of them: Rogelio Luis Nores, a friend and representative of Payne in Argentina; Esteban Reynaldo Grassi, the hotel's head of reception; and Gilda Agustina Martín, the establishment's manager.

The remaining two accused, Ezequiel David Pereyra and Braian Nahuel Paiz, continue to be linked to the case, specifically for the alleged supply of drugs. Pereyra was employed at the hotel where Payne was staying, while Paiz worked as a waiter at another establishment. According to judicial resolutions, both allegedly provided cocaine to the singer during his stay in Buenos Aires in exchange for payment.
