New Director General Appointed at Electric Stations OJSC

The Board of Directors of Electric Stations OJSC has appointed Ulugbek Mamyraliev as its new Director General. Mamyraliev possesses more than two decades of experience within Kyrgyzstan's power sector. His career includes heading production and technical divisions and contributing to significant projects aimed at modernizing the nation's crucial energy infrastructure.

Notable projects Mamyraliev participated in include the modernization and development of the Toktogul and Uch-Kurgan hydropower plants. He holds two university degrees: one in electric power plants from the Kyrgyz State Technical University (2001-2006) and another in management from the Institute of Management and Business at the Iskhak Razzakov Kyrgyz State Technical University (2012-2014).

Electric Stations OJSC is the principal electricity generation company in Kyrgyzstan, responsible for producing roughly 84 percent of the country's total electricity. The company manages seven hydropower plants: Toktogul HPP, Kurpsai HPP, Kambarata HPP-2, Uch-Kurgan HPP, At-Bashy HPP, Shamaldysai HPP, and Tash-Kumyr HPP. These facilities have a combined installed generating capacity of 3,293.76 megawatts.
