New fuel prices announced in Croatia

Croatian drivers will see mixed changes at the pump from Wednesday, September 2. Petrol will cost one cent more, reaching €1.67 per litre, while diesel will become seven cents cheaper at €1.79.

The largest reduction applies to blue diesel, which will fall by 11 cents to €1.21 per litre. Liquefied petroleum gas will also become cheaper. LPG for storage tanks will cost €1.25 per kilogram, down two cents, while bottled LPG will fall by the same amount to €1.83 per kilogram.

The government adopted the new regulations during a telephone session as it continued regulating petroleum-product prices. It raised the diesel fuel premium by one cent per litre, while keeping premiums for other fuels unchanged. The government also continued its excise-duty reduction policy, except for diesel, where the duty increased by two cents per litre.

Officials said fuel prices would be considerably higher without the government measures. Under the previous premiums and excise duties, petrol would cost €1.82 per litre, diesel €1.97, and blue diesel €1.30. LPG for tanks would reach €1.36 per kilogram, while bottled LPG would cost €2.06. The new prices will remain valid until September 7, 2026.

At the same session, the government approved €500,000 in emergency humanitarian aid for people in areas of Nepal affected by floods.
