New Global Entry Enrollment Center Opens in Tampa, Florida

U.S. Customs and Border Protection has launched a new Global Entry enrollment center in Tampa, Florida, aiming to streamline the application process for travelers. The facility, situated at 5519 W. Hillsborough Ave., Tampa, FL 33634, is now operational for conditional approval holders seeking to complete their enrollment.

The center operates Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. local time. Appointments are mandatory, and applicants must secure conditional approval before booking a time slot. This new location expands the available options for individuals in the Tampa Bay area seeking expedited entry into the United States.

Daniel Alonso, CBP Field Operations Director for the Miami and Tampa area offices, stated that the opening is intended to "facilitate access to the process and sustain the agency's border security mission." The Global Entry program, part of CBP's Trusted Traveler Programs, offers accelerated clearance for pre-approved, low-risk travelers upon arrival in the U.S.

To complete the enrollment, applicants need to bring a valid passport and a photo identification showing their current residential address. Lawful permanent residents must also present their machine-readable green card. The application process involves submitting an application through the Trusted Traveler Programs website, paying a non-refundable fee of $120, and attending the in-person interview. Membership is valid for five years and also grants eligibility for TSA PreCheck.
