New Hyundai Tucson Revealed: A Shift in Character for a Polish Favorite

Hyundai has unveiled the next generation of its Tucson SUV, initially showcasing the model in South Korea where it is slated for release in 2026. Other markets, including Europe, will see the new Tucson arrive in 2027, though specific engine options, pricing, and final specifications for these regions remain undisclosed.

The new Tucson represents a significant departure in design, adopting a more angular and robust aesthetic that evokes stronger off-road associations, a departure from the current model's sportier stance. It has grown in dimensions, measuring 470 cm in length, 190.5 cm in width, and 168.5 cm in height, with a wheelbase of 278.5 cm. These increases translate to more interior space, including an additional 3 cm of headroom for rear passengers, and wider rear door openings (83 degrees) for easier access.

Inside, the cabin has been completely redesigned, featuring Hyundai's new "Pleos Connect" infotainment system based on Android Automotive OS. This system utilizes a large central screen integrated into a new dashboard layout. Notably, Hyundai has retained physical buttons and switches for frequently used functions, avoiding a complete reliance on touch controls. The center console has also been reconfigured to offer larger storage compartments and new decorative materials.

For the Polish market, the Tucson holds significant importance. From January to July 2026, it was the fifth most registered new car, with 7,951 units sold, marking a 28.26% increase year-on-year. Among individual buyers, it ranked third, with 3,827 registrations and a substantial 65.38% growth, indicating its strong popularity.
