New Kaunas bypass becomes a nighttime racing track, but police have yet to conduct raids

A newly opened section of Kaunas’ southeastern bypass has already become a nighttime testing ground for motorcycle speed, according to residents of Amaliai.

Residents say the road fills with noisy and dangerous driving in the evenings and at night. Police officers say they have not yet carried out targeted raids on the bypass.

At the same time, officials acknowledge that they have received up to 10 reports of dangerous driving on the road in less than two weeks.
