New leadership takes charge at Paraguay's ANDE electricity company

Miguel Báez Reyes has taken the helm at Paraguay's National Electricity Administration (ANDE), initiating a significant reshuffling of the state-owned company's top leadership. Báez Reyes, a former technical manager at ANDE during the previous administration, steps into the presidency with a mandate to guide the company through institutional reconfiguration.

The new leadership team blends continuity with change. Key operational and financial roles see familiar faces, with Hugo Rolón confirmed as Commercial Manager and Sonia Marycel Rojas de Hayes remaining as Financial Manager. Luis Daniel Torres Figueredo also continues as head of the Presidency's Cabinet.

However, adjustments have been made in sensitive areas. Adriana Teixeira replaces Carlos Nelson Medina Duarte as legal advisor, signaling a renewal in the company's legal representation. In operational and infrastructure sectors, Jorge Barrios Sánchez continues as Director of Regional Management, while Guido Chávez takes over the Planning and Studies Directorate. César Zena solidifies his position as Director of Administrative Services, and Luis Vidal Efrén Poisson Spessot remains at the helm of the Telematics Directorate, focusing on digital modernization.
