New Lithuanian duo "Vėtros" forms after unexpected meeting

Lithuania's music scene welcomes "Vėtros," a new female duo comprising singers Živilė Segenytė and Silvija Jankūnaitė. The pair, described as two sensitive souls, bring their individual pasts and unique colors to their collaborative music.

Živilė Segenytė is a familiar face to Lithuanian music lovers, having recently shared a personal story of loss that deepened her fans' appreciation for her work. Silvija Jankūnaitė gained recognition through a popular television music competition, "X Faktorius." Their paths crossed serendipitously when Segenytė was performing at a restaurant where Jankūnaitė worked. They immediately connected and even performed a duet that same evening.

Recognizing their harmonious chemistry, the singers decided to form a duo. Music producer and radio host Valdas Kabutavičius is supporting their musical journey. The duo has already prepared several songs for release and has chosen a lyrical and heartfelt pop song, "Apie tave," for their debut.

Describing their creative process, the members of "Vėtros" note a remarkable synchronicity, likening themselves to twins despite their differing hair colors – Jankūnaitė is blonde, and Segenytė is a brunette. They find it easy to collaborate without conflict, as their personalities and perspectives align. When Kabutavičius contributes, his ideas are integrated after the duo approves them.

Their debut song, "Apie tave," is accompanied by a music video. The filming process was a positive team effort, though the singers admitted to struggling with the high heels they wore for the shoot. They plan to find their audience, release their backlog of songs, and are open to surprising listeners with potential shifts in musical style, though they are debuting in the pop genre.
