New singer Emma makes waves with first song ahead of CMC festival

Emerging artist Emma is poised to make a significant impact on the Croatian pop scene with her debut single, "Bježiš od mene" (You Run From Me). The song, an emotional ballad, will be presented to the public for the first time at the upcoming CMC festival in Vodice.

It is extremely important for me to convey through this song, which I am very proud of - that one can get through all challenges. Love is what needs to win, and we should never give up on it, or on ourselves, even if it sometimes seems like we give everything but receive nothing in return.

"Bježiš od mene" explores themes of complicated relationships and the enduring struggle for love. Emma aims to connect with her audience through a powerful message and deep emotion, delivered by her clear and strong vocals. The track blends contemporary Croatian pop with melancholic ballad elements, carrying a significant narrative.

We filmed at a ranch near Velika Gorica. The atmosphere was great, and I was relaxed. The whole story follows the strong text and melody, and although it is my musical debut, I felt like I was in paradise - because I am doing what I love.

Emma stresses the importance of resilience and unwavering belief in oneself and in love, even amidst difficulties. "It is extremely important for me to convey through this song, which I am very proud of - that one can get through all challenges," she stated. From childhood I have been singing, and my goal is to do what I love and no one is happier than me when I am on stage.

The accompanying music video was filmed near Velika Gorica, where Emma described the atmosphere as great and herself as relaxed. She feels the story complements the song's strong lyrics and melody. Beyond music, Emma is also pursuing a film career, having worked on projects in both the United States and Croatia. She sees art as her life's path, which began in early childhood, and she aims to tell stories through her music, with her single already gaining traction on YouTube. Emma is preparing for an engaging performance at the festival, featuring choreography by Diego Siquiere, to ensure her music is experienced with all senses.
