New T-Roc positions itself as the most complete car in its class

Volkswagen's T-Roc has entered its second generation with a larger body, more cabin space and an electrified powertrain. The compact SUV, whose first generation established a strong reputation since its 2017 launch, now arrives with a refreshed appearance and a broader technology package.

The model has produced two million units and ranked as Europe's best-selling vehicle in its class in 2025, according to the article. Volkswagen has built the new version on the MQB evo platform, which the presentation describes not merely as the car's frame but as its backbone.

The T-Roc offers a Head-Up Display and Driving Experience Control, allowing drivers to personalize driving profiles and functions. Its luggage compartment has grown by 30 liters to 475 liters, described as the largest capacity in the category.

The new four-cylinder 1.5 eTSI engine combines a 48V mild-hybrid system with the DSG dual-clutch transmission. The system supports acceleration and enables coasting, helping lower consumption while preserving the driving experience.

The engine comes in 116- and 150-horsepower versions. Volkswagen says the hybrid system provides immediate response, strong low-end torque and additional 48V assistance when needed, supporting smooth operation across the rev range.
