New Taipei City Honors Model Fathers for Dedication to Families

New Taipei City celebrated exemplary fathers, highlighting stories of resilience and unwavering parental love. Among those honored was Wu Tian-fu from Banqiao District, whose eldest son has cerebral palsy. Wu Tian-fu provided patient guidance, enabling his son to achieve independent employment. He also extended his compassion to community service, involving his son in charitable activities.

Lin Fu-wen from Linkou District, a hemodialysis technician for 33 years, was recognized for his devoted support of his daughter, who has autism. He and his wife, also a nurse, used their professional expertise and patience to help their daughter secure stable employment. Lin Fu-wen also fulfilled his filial duties by caring for his 91-year-old mother.

Another honoree, Hong Guo-lin from Sanchong District, faced the profound grief of losing his eldest son, a hospital pharmacist, in an accident. He and his family channeled their sorrow into establishing an educational fund at their son's alma mater to support younger students. Hong Guo-lin also dedicated 30 years as a safety volunteer at a local elementary school.

These fathers, through their actions, embody the spirit of perseverance and deep familial commitment. Their stories, marked by personal adversity and extraordinary dedication, serve as powerful examples of paternal love and sacrifice within the community.
