New Taipei Kings launch 'KINGS HEART' charity program, announce celebrity game with NBA guests

The New Taipei Kings basketball team is set to launch its "KINGS HEART" community program for the upcoming season, demonstrating a strong commitment to social responsibility. The initiative's inaugural event will be the "KINGS HEART CLASSIC Charity Game," scheduled for September 13th at the Xinzhuang Gymnasium. This event marks a significant collaboration with The Asian Tournament (TAT).

'KINGS HEART' is our commitment to continuously give back to society off the court. We will make charity a habit and a long-term plan for the team.

The charity game will feature a matchup between the New Taipei Kings and the Macau Black Knights. Adding to the excitement, a special celebrity game will be held, inviting personalities from the basketball world and entertainment industry. A highly anticipated element of the event will be the participation of mystery NBA star guests, with further details on the full lineup to be announced soon.

According to the New Taipei Kings, giving back to the community has been a core principle since the team's inception. The "KINGS HEART" program is designed to establish a systematic platform for social service, focusing on four key areas: care for remote and disadvantaged communities, health services, youth development opportunities, and animal welfare.

The plight of stray dogs has not received the attention it deserves. We need to create more discussion about this issue. The King family and many colleagues in the team are dog lovers, and some colleagues' dogs come from such shelter environments. This is an issue we care deeply about.

New Taipei Kings CEO Chen Hsin-sheng emphasized the program's long-term vision, stating, "'KINGS HEART' is our commitment to continuously give back to society off the court. We will make charity a habit and a long-term plan for the team." The first event, in partnership with PACK Taiwan and TAT, specifically aims to raise awareness and funds for stray animals in Taiwan, with a portion of the proceeds going towards improving the quality of care in shelters and helping animals find adoptive families.

There are over 140,000 stray dogs on the streets of Taiwan. Every one we help has been abandoned before. When more people see and more people are willing to support, more can be changed. Thank you to the New Taipei Kings and TAT for jointly focusing on this issue.
