New Tech Enforcement Deployed at Key Intersections in Miaoli's Toufen and Zhunan

Drivers in Miaoli County, Taiwan, should be aware of new technological enforcement measures being implemented at critical intersections in Toufen and Zhunan. The Miaoli County Police Bureau has installed "multi-functional traffic enforcement equipment" at two key locations to combat traffic accidents and correct poor driving habits.

The new system will focus on three primary violations: running red lights, making improper turns or lane changes, and failing to stop for pedestrians. These infractions were identified as frequent causes of accidents, particularly at the selected intersections which experience significant traffic volume.

A good traffic order requires the joint maintenance of all county residents. Motorists, with a little more patience when going out, can reduce a little danger.

To allow drivers ample time to adjust their behavior, a three-month promotional period will be in effect from the present until October 31. Following this grace period, the technology will officially begin issuing citations on November 1 at midnight. Police urge drivers to exercise patience and adhere to traffic signals, signs, and markings.

Miaoli County Police Chief Li Zhongping emphasized the importance of collective responsibility in maintaining traffic order. He encouraged motorists to be mindful and prioritize pedestrian safety, particularly when approaching these newly monitored intersections. The goal is to foster a safer road environment for all residents.
