Newell's Old Boys confirms signing of Alan Soñora

Newell's Old Boys has officially announced the signing of Alan Soñora as their new reinforcement for the latter half of the season. The 27-year-old creative midfielder has joined the Rosario-based club after parting ways with Cerro Porteño and has already begun training with his new teammates.

Soñora, who holds dual Argentine-American nationality, arrives at the Estadio Marcelo Bielsa with the primary objective of becoming the team's central playmaker. The coaching staff, led by Frank Darío Kudelka, gains a crucial option for midfield dynamism, bringing quality in passing, ball control, and tempo.

The midfielder joins with immediate match fitness after his stint in Paraguayan football. During his time with Cerro Porteño, he appeared in 21 matches, contributing one goal and one assist. Although his statistical output was modest in his most recent spell, Newell's management is betting on his offensive profile to bolster their tactical schemes.
