A hastily convened stakeholders meeting at the Government House aimed to reconcile disgruntled members, many of whom are former political officeholders or recent primary election losers.

Despite the governor's call for unity, the leader of the Niger Rescue Movement, Alhaji Mikel Al-Amin Emitosahi, declared that their decision to leave the APC is irrevocable. Speaking at a separate event, Emitosahi affirmed their commitment to working tirelessly to defeat Governor Bago in the next gubernatorial election, signaling a continued challenge to the party's leadership.
