Nigeria announces fourth evacuation flight from South Africa

Nigeria's Federal Government has announced the upcoming arrival of the fourth evacuation flight from South Africa. The Air Peace aircraft is scheduled to land at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos by 5:00 a.m. on Wednesday.

The flight will carry approximately 270 Nigerian nationals who have expressed a desire to return home. This operation is a continuation of the government's efforts to assist its citizens facing safety concerns in South Africa.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed the details in a statement signed by spokesperson Kimiebi Imomotimi Ebienfa. The aircraft was set to depart Johannesburg at midnight, aiming for a safe arrival in Lagos.

This evacuation exercise underscores the government's commitment to the welfare of its citizens abroad, particularly in response to recent concerns regarding their safety in South Africa. It marks the fourth such flight organized to bring Nigerians back home.
