Nigeria intensify prep ahead Canada squash tourney

Nigeria is gearing up for the 2026 World Junior Team Squash Championship, a significant event for the development of young talent in the country. The Nigeria Squash Federation has confirmed that preparations are in full swing, with the goal of presenting a strong and balanced team to compete on the world stage in Ontario, Canada.

We have intensified our preparations. It’s a very important championship.

Federation President Wilson Egberipou emphasized the importance of this global competition, stating that it offers invaluable experience for Nigerian players. He highlighted that exposure to top-level international opposition is essential for their long-term growth and for strengthening Nigeria's presence in the sport. The federation plans to select a team comprising four male and four female players, ensuring equal representation and competitive depth.
