Nigeria paramilitary recruitment to conclude in four weeks

The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has announced that the ongoing recruitment exercise for Nigeria’s four paramilitary services will conclude within the next four weeks. This update comes amidst significant anticipation from numerous applicants awaiting the final outcome of the process.

It is the intention of the CDCFIB not to rush the entire recruitment process, but to bring it to completion without any prejudice to the principles of justice, merit, federal character, due process, and the operational requirements of the four services.

In a statement signed by its Secretary, Maj Gen AM Jibril (retd.), the CDCFIB acknowledged the "tremendous amount of anticipation" surrounding the recruitment. The board emphasized its responsibility to ensure a fair and transparent selection, given the large volume of applications received nationwide. While the process has reached its final stages, the CDCFIB assured that it would not be rushed, prioritizing due process, merit, federal character, and the operational needs of the services.

The board stated that the final stages are expected to be completed within the four-week timeframe. Successful candidates will be informed through the official recruitment platform at recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng. The CDCFIB extended its gratitude to all applicants for their patience, assuring them that their perseverance would be rewarded. The recruitment drive covers the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Nigeria Immigration Service, Nigerian Correctional Service, and Federal Fire Service, which began with online applications in July 2025.
