Nigeria's Kwara APC rallies for Tinubu's 2027 re-election, celebrates primaries

Supporters of Nigeria's All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara State have kicked off a campaign for President Bola Tinubu's re-election in 2027. The "Kwara Ndupe (Kwara is Grateful)" rally in Ilorin, organized by Kwara Progressives, also celebrated the party's successful primary elections.

Party leaders addressed concerns about potential divisions following the primaries. Abdulateef Alakawa, State Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, stated that the party has initiated reconciliation efforts to unite all stakeholders. "In every democratic process, there will be winners and others who may not emerge. As far as the APC is concerned, we have no losers," Alakawa said.

The APC candidate for Kwara North Senatorial District, Ahmad Muhammad, lauded the decision to zone the governorship ticket to his region. He thanked Tinubu, Governor AbdulRazaq, and party members for their confidence. "We appreciate the people of Kwara for giving Kwara North the opportunity to produce the next governor," Muhammad stated, emphasizing the rally as a demonstration of support for the current leadership.
