The Nigerian Army has declared two high-ranking leaders of the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) as wanted, offering a substantial financial reward for information leading to their capture. The individuals identified are Abu Musa Al-Mangawi Baa Shuwa, who serves as the governor of ISWAP, and his deputy, Amirul Jaish Muhammad Jidda, also known as "The One-Handed Man."

Operation Hadin Kai (OPHK) has recorded another significant breakthrough following recent successful offensive operations against ISWAP/ISIS terrorists in the Lake Chad region of Northern Borno State.

Their identities were revealed following a recent offensive operation by troops in the Lake Chad region of Northern Borno State. During the operation, military forces recovered technical devices and intelligence materials, including a camcorder used by ISWAP for propaganda videos. Forensic analysis of these devices provided actionable intelligence, pinpointing locations associated with terrorist activities and identifying key leaders.

Captain Muhammed Goni, the Acting Military Information Officer for the Northeast Joint Taskforce Operation Hadin Kai, stated that Abu Musa Al-Mangawi Baa Shuwa is considered the most wanted terrorist leader operating within the Lake Chad Basin. The army is urging the public to provide credible and timely information to assist security agencies in apprehending these suspected operatives.

The military will offer a substantial financial reward to any individual whose credible and actionable information directly leads to his arrest.

He assured that all information received would be treated with the utmost confidentiality, and the identities of informants would be fully protected under established security procedures. Other identified terrorist leaders include Hamad Abu Hanifa, the Amirul-Fiya of ISWAP.
