Nigerian Rep member Yaya Tongo laid to rest in Gombe

The remains of Yaya Bauchi Tongo, a member of Nigeria's House of Representatives representing the Gombe/Kwami/Funakaye Federal Constituency, were laid to rest on Saturday in Tongo Village, Funakaye Local Government Area of Gombe State.

The funeral ceremony was marked by prayers and was attended by a large number of prominent figures. Also present were Senator Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo, the Speaker of the Gombe State House of Assembly, Abubakar Luggerewo, members of the State Assembly, the Secretary to the Gombe State Government, Professor Ibrahim Njodi, political leaders, traditional rulers, party stakeholders, and mourners from across and beyond the state.
