Nigeria's fastest man, Kanyinsola Ajayi, has officially embarked on his professional athletics career, announcing a new partnership with sportswear giant Adidas. The sprinter shared the news on his X page, marking the beginning of what he described as a "new era" and "the next chapter" in his journey.

This significant career move comes less than two weeks after Ajayi achieved a major milestone at the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow. The 21-year-old secured a bronze medal in the men's 100 meters, clocking a time of 9.90 seconds. This performance made him Nigeria's first Commonwealth Games men's 100m medalist in two decades.

Ajayi's rapid ascent in the sport has been notable.
