Nigerian Troops Foil Terrorist Attack, Rescue Abductees

Nigerian troops successfully repelled a terrorist infiltration attempt at Forward Operating Base Kasuwan Daji in Zamfara State early on August 2, 2026. The operation, however, resulted in the tragic loss of one army officer and one police officer, with two soldiers sustaining gunshot wounds.
