Night Train to Scandinavia: Private Operator Plans Direct Route to Malmö

The private rail operator European Sleeper is expanding its network by planning a new direct night train service to Scandinavia. The proposed route will connect Brussels and Amsterdam with Malmö, Sweden, marking a significant step in increasing night train accessibility to the region.

This new venture builds upon European Sleeper's existing successful routes, which already link Brussels and Amsterdam to cities like Berlin and Prague. The company is committed to advancing its network despite the challenges of high operational costs that have led other services to be discontinued.

The planned service aims for a convenient travel schedule. Departures from both Brussels and Malmö are slated for approximately 7 p.m., with arrivals expected around 10 a.m. the following day. This timing is designed to allow passengers to travel overnight while maximizing their daytime hours upon arrival.
