Ninth US attack wave against Iran: Ship in Strait of Hormuz in flames

The United States conducted its ninth consecutive night of airstrikes against targets within Iran, aiming to prevent attacks on commercial shipping in the vital Strait of Hormuz. The US military's regional command, CENTCOM, stated that the strikes on Tuesday morning targeted military command centers, air defense facilities, coastal surveillance systems, missile launch sites, drone launch facilities, and communication networks.

US President Donald Trump justified the latest strikes, stating they were in "honor" of fallen US soldiers and to prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons. He asserted that the US had "hit them (the Iranians) very hard again tonight."

Explosions were reported across Iran, including in Tabriz, Chabahar, Konarak, Mahshahr, and Bandar Imam Khomeini, according to the Iranian news agency Tasnim. The Revolutionary Guards-affiliated Fars news agency also reported detonations near Sirik and in Bushehr province.

Meanwhile, Iran continued its retaliatory actions against countries hosting US military bases. Kuwait reported its air defense systems were repelling "enemy drones" from Iran, while sirens wailed in Bahrain, with the Interior Ministry urging residents to seek safety. The US Embassy in Manama had reported intelligence indicating Iran's potential involvement in attacks.
