Nissan Revives 'Primera' Name for New Electric Sedan in Philippines

Nissan is bringing back the classic "Primera" name, a model familiar to many in Taiwan as the "Pili Ma." The resurrected nameplate has debuted at the Philippines Auto Show, revealing a new electric sedan that is essentially a rebadged version of Nissan's N7 electric car, first shown last year.

The new Primera boasts a contemporary design with a closed-off grille, a贯穿式 light bar, and boomerang-shaped LED headlights. Its profile features frameless windows and flush door handles, complemented by a sloping fastback roofline and a贯穿式 LED taillight that echoes the front design. The car measures 4,930 mm long, 1,895 mm wide, and 1,487 mm tall, with a wheelbase of 2,915 mm.

Inside, the cabin is equipped with a new-generation interface, including a long digital instrument cluster and a large 15.6-inch central touchscreen. Nissan's signature "zero gravity" seats, which offer AI-powered automatic adjustments, are included for enhanced comfort.

Under the hood, the Primera is powered by a single electric motor driving the front wheels. The base model delivers 218 horsepower and 31.1 kg-m of torque. It is equipped with a 58 kWh battery pack, providing an estimated range of 500 kilometers. The vehicle supports 400V fast charging, capable of replenishing the battery from 10% to 80% in just 19 minutes.
