'No. 1 attraction in the world': Trump says he will headline Nat'l Mall fair after singers drop out

Former President Donald Trump announced he will headline the "Great American State Fair" on the National Mall in late June, stepping in after several scheduled musical performers withdrew.

I am thinking about bringing the Number One Attraction anywhere in the World, the man who gets much larger audiences than Elvis in his prime, and he does so without a guitar, the man who loves our Country more than anyone else, and the man who some say is the Greatest President in History (THE GOAT!), DONALD J. TRUMP, to take the place of these highly paid, third rate ‘artists,’ and give a major speech, rallying the Country forward like I have done ever since being President!

Trump stated on Truth Social that he would replace the "third rate 'artists'" with himself, whom he described as the "Number One Attraction anywhere in the world." He claimed he draws larger audiences than Elvis in his prime and loves the country more than anyone else.

The musicians, including Bret Michaels, the Commodores, and Martina McBride, pulled out separately. McBride said she was misled about the event being nonpartisan. Michaels stated he initially believed the event aimed to honor veterans and Americans but felt it had become "divisive."

We should have a giant MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN RALLY, for 250, instead of having overpriced singers, who nobody wants to hear, whose music is boring, and yet who do nothing but complain.

Freedom 250, an organization launched by Trump last year, announced Trump's participation. Trump had previously criticized the withdrawing singers, suggesting a "MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN RALLY" instead of performances by artists he deemed boring and complainers.
