No TGV trains south of Bordeaux on Tuesday due to wildfires

High-speed TGV train services south of Bordeaux will be suspended on Tuesday, with Bordeaux becoming the final stop for most trains from Paris. This measure is a direct consequence of the exceptional circumstances created by ongoing wildfires in the region.

The French national railway company, SNCF, announced the suspension, extending restrictions that were initially put in place on Sunday evening. The decision was made at the request of the Gironde prefecture, which is managing the response to the severe fires impacting southwestern France.

While the majority of TGV services heading towards the southwest will terminate in Bordeaux, there are specific exceptions. Trains destined for Agen and Toulouse will continue to operate as scheduled, providing limited connectivity to these areas. Travelers planning journeys to other destinations south of Bordeaux are advised to adjust their travel plans accordingly.
