Nomad Games opening: what visitors cannot bring into Bishkek Arena

Visitors attending the opening ceremony of the VI World Nomad Games at Bishkek Arena will face security checks and a long list of prohibited items.

The Interior Ministry said spectators may not bring cigarettes, IQOS devices, nasvay, chewing gum, outside food or drinks, or glass bottles and other hard or breakable containers. Large backpacks, bags and suitcases are also prohibited.

Weapons and sharp objects, pyrotechnics, aerosols, gas cylinders and drones are banned. Professional video cameras require permission. Radios, high-frequency communications equipment, musical instruments, whistles, megaphones and other loud devices will also be barred from the stadium.

The ministry advised visitors to arrive early, leave prohibited items at home and follow instructions from staff. Temporary traffic restrictions will also be introduced in parts of Bishkek and the Chuy and Issyk-Kul regions during state events. Authorities said vehicles may face periodic road closures and asked drivers to plan routes in advance and avoid travel where possible.
