North Korean Premier Thanks Chinese Counterpart After Visit

North Korean Premier Pak Thae-song sent a thank-you message to Chinese Premier Li Qiang, expressing satisfaction with his recent visit to China. The trip, undertaken to commemorate the 65th anniversary of the North Korea-China Friendship Treaty, concluded with Pak's return home on Tuesday.

In his message, Pak stated, "I am satisfied that this visit proceeded successfully." The Korean Central News Agency reported that the message conveyed a willingness to "jointly strive to comprehensively expand and develop the traditional China-North Korea friendly cooperative relations in line with the demands of the new era, following the noble intentions of the leaders of the two countries."

The North Korean delegation, led by Pak, visited various sites in Beijing and Tianjin. Their itinerary included a tour of the Chinese Communist Party History Exhibition Hall, where Pak wrote in the guestbook, "I wish the Chinese people continuous new achievements in building a socialist modernized country under the leadership of the Chinese Communist Party."

The delegation also visited the Beijing Urban Rail Transit Control Center, learning about the achievements in modernizing transportation. In Tianjin, they toured a green and low-carbon circular economy demonstration base of China Resources Circular Economy Group Co., Ltd., and attended a welcome banquet hosted by the Tianjin Municipal Party Committee Secretary.

Upon their arrival at Pyongyang International Airport, the delegation was greeted by Kim Tok-hun, first vice premier of the Cabinet, and other high-ranking officials, signaling the conclusion of their official visit.
