Norway's King Harald V continues to be hospitalized in serious condition, with reports indicating a quiet night outside the Rikshospitalet in Oslo. Crown Prince Haakon is believed to have stayed by his father's side throughout the night, having arrived at the hospital on Thursday evening with Crown Princess Mette-Marit.

The 89-year-old monarch was admitted on August 17 and is being treated for hemolytic anemia. This condition causes the body's red blood cells to break down faster than they can be produced. The Royal House has previously stated that the king's health condition is "very serious," and his state has remained unchanged since the last update on Thursday afternoon.
