Norwegian 19-year-old investigated for murder in Bergen also faces drug charges in Finland

A 19-year-old Norwegian national is facing serious charges in both Norway and Finland. In Norway, he is under investigation for a murder that occurred in Bergen in 2023. The case initially began as an investigation into being found helpless after an overdose, but the charges were later upgraded to murder following the discovery of an 18-year-old deceased in a Bergen residence.

Meanwhile, Finnish authorities have charged the same individual with aggravated drug offenses. Finnish police allege that he stored, transported, and distributed tens of kilograms of amphetamine within the country. He was apprehended on July 13 after being requested for extradition by Finland on June 23.

The 19-year-old has been remanded in custody in Finland for four weeks, but this decision has been appealed. The potential sentence in the Finnish case is up to 13 years imprisonment. He has denied all charges against him.
