Nottingham Forest extends Ibrahim Sangare's contract to 2029

Nottingham Forest has secured the long-term commitment of midfielder Ibrahim Sangare, extending his contract until the summer of 2029. The Ivorian international, who arrived from PSV in 2023, has established himself as a vital component of the team's midfield.

Sangare played a significant role in the past season, featuring in 43 matches across all competitions and contributing to the team's Europa League campaign with 14 appearances. A minor injury prevented him from participating in the semi-finals, otherwise, he would have been involved in every European match during Nottingham Forest's historic run.

"I am very happy to sign a new contract," Sangare stated. "This is also a good opportunity to thank our fans. Last season was not always easy, but they were always with us and I constantly felt their support. After three years here, this club has become a family to me. I feel very good. I have learned a lot during this time and worked hard to get to this point. I look forward to working with our new coach and the start of the season."
