Novi Sad Man Arrested for Drug and Weapons Possession

Police in Novi Sad have arrested a 28-year-old resident, identified by initials K.O., on suspicion of involvement in illegal drug production and trafficking, as well as the unauthorized manufacturing, possession, carrying, and trafficking of weapons and explosives. The arrest was made in cooperation with the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Novi Sad.

During a search of the suspect's apartment, officers from the Novi Sad criminal police discovered a significant quantity of narcotics. Seized items included approximately 2,200 grams of amphetamine, around 600 grams of marijuana, and approximately 47 grams of cocaine. Additionally, a pistol, a precise weighing scale, and a sum of money believed to be proceeds from drug sales were found.

Authorities also suspect K.O. of selling cocaine to an 18-year-old Novi Sad resident. Police found the narcotic on the younger individual, and he will face charges for illegal drug possession. This indicates a potential network involving the distribution of controlled substances within the city.

The suspect, K.O., has been detained for up to 48 hours. He will be brought before the Higher Public Prosecutor in Novi Sad along with the criminal charges filed against him, according to a statement from the Novi Sad police.
