NSCDC arrests suspected motorcycle theft syndicate accomplice in Kano

Operatives of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Kano State have apprehended a 45-year-old man suspected of being an accomplice in a motorcycle theft ring. The arrest, made in Gaida, Kumbotso Local Government Area, followed credible intelligence linking the suspect, identified as Mustafa Sani, to the syndicate's operations within the metropolis.

The suspect, identified as Mustafa Sani, aged 45, was arrested at his residence following credible intelligence linking him to the activities of a suspected motorcycle theft syndicate operating within the metropolis.

During a search of Sani's residence, NSCDC officers recovered a motorcycle believed to be stolen from a hospital on Gwarzo Road. The recovery also included 11 motorcycle number plates, various tools such as screwdrivers and pliers, and several bunches of motorcycle keys, all suspected to be linked to stolen motorcycles.

The NSCDC stated that the primary suspect, Mansur Nasir Khalil, also known as "S-Guy," remains at large. The command has launched a manhunt for Khalil and is committed to his apprehension. State Commandant Mohammed Agalama praised the operatives for their vigilance and intelligence-led operation. He assured the public that the NSCDC would intensify efforts to dismantle criminal networks involved in motorcycle theft and other crimes across the state.

This was after a companion motorbike with registration number GRR 958 QB (Jigawa) was tracked to his residence.

Agalama urged the public to remain vigilant and provide security agencies with information to aid crime prevention and detection. He further assured that the arrested suspect would undergo a thorough investigation and face prosecution upon its conclusion.
