Nurse Saves Collapsed Man at Funeral Home While Attending Her Own Family's Service

A nurse attending her own family's funeral performed a life-saving act, reviving a man who suddenly collapsed at the same funeral home in Yeosu. The incident, which occurred on July 20, was captured on CCTV and has since gained attention.

Ju Seol-hee, a nurse at Haeundae Baek Hospital, was present at the funeral home when she noticed a man lose consciousness and fall. Without hesitation, she approached him, assessed his condition, and immediately began performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).

After the man regained consciousness, Ju continued to monitor his condition and provided crucial information to the arriving 119 emergency medical personnel. Her swift and decisive action is credited with stabilizing the man until professional medical help arrived.

The story came to light when a witness at the scene sent a letter of commendation to Haeundae Baek Hospital. The man's family also personally contacted Ju to express their profound gratitude for her life-saving intervention. Ju stated that her only thought was to assess the situation and provide necessary aid when she saw someone collapse.
