Obi–Kwankwaso movement warns against infiltration

As the political landscape gears up for the 2027 general elections, the Obi–Kwankwaso Movement is sounding an alarm about potential sabotage. The movement, a significant fusion of supporters from the Obidient Movement, Kwankwasiyya, the New Nigeria People’s Party, and the African Democratic Congress, has raised concerns over rival political factions attempting to infiltrate its ranks.

We are gladdened by the thousands of ‘lovers of the movement’ who are voluntarily setting up structures to promote this joint ticket. However, success attracts sabotage.

Auwal Muhammad, the Deputy Director General (North) of the Movement, issued a stern warning against the proliferation of uncoordinated structures and haphazard membership recruitment. He articulated that while the voluntary establishment of support structures is appreciated, success inevitably attracts attempts at disruption. The creation of multiple, uncoordinated entities under the same banner, he explained, inadvertently provides an opening for 'political mercenaries' and 'fifth columnists' to infiltrate and sow confusion.

It has come to our notice that various groups are attempting to establish parallel structures using the ‘OK Movement’ name. To our genuine brothers and sisters: we appreciate your zeal, but we must be wiser than our detractors.

The movement is particularly wary of the ruling party deploying paid disruptors to mimic their voice and undermine their efforts from within. To counter this, the Obi–Kwankwaso Movement is reinforcing its commitment to central leadership, nationally headed by DG John Ughulu. Support groups and independent organizations are encouraged to operate under distinct, unique names while still being tagged as part of the OK Movement.

By creating multiple, uncoordinated entities under the same name, you inadvertently open the door for the political mercenaries and ‘fifth columnists’ to infiltrate our ranks. We cannot allow the ruling party to send their paid disruptors and agents of chaos to wear our badge, mimic our voice, and sow seeds of confusion from within.

This strategic necessity, the movement argues, is vital for identifying and expelling 'political viruses' that might be injected into their system by a 'failing establishment.' The core message is one of vigilance and unity, aiming to protect the 'OK' brand and its vision of building a government based on merit and national dignity, distinct from what they term a government of 'agberos' and political patronage.

There is only one leadership, led nationally by DG John Ughulu. If you are a support group or an independent organisation passionate about the Obi-Kwankwaso ticket, we encourage you to continue your noble work, but do so under a distinct and unique name, tagged OK Movement.
