Taylor Swift's music has been removed from social media content produced by Donald Trump's campaign and the White House after being used without apparent permission. The campaign had featured two of the pop superstar's songs on its TikTok page over the past week, employing captions that creatively referenced her lyrics and song titles.

One TikTok video used Swift's "Red (Taylor Swift Wrote A Whole Album About Republicans)" and "Everything Has Changed (At Our Southern Border)," alongside other song titles like "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together (The Biden Harris Administration)." Another video, posted in June, featured her song "I Knew It, I Knew You" and was captioned "Nobody loves our country & the American People more than @President Donald J Trump." This marked the third instance in recent months that the Trump administration or campaign had used Swift's music.

Previously, in April, the White House shared a video of the Artemis II crew meeting Trump, which incorporated lyrics from Swift's song "High Infidelity." In November, a TikTok video from the White House used "The Fate of Ophelia," featuring images of the U.S. flag, monuments, and Trump's 2023 arrest mugshot. That post drew significant social media attention, with a White House spokesperson suggesting it was intended to be amplified by news outlets.
