Prime Minister Tarique Rahman led a high-level meeting focused on modernizing the sound system of the Jatiya Sangsad, Bangladesh's parliament. The session aimed to evaluate advanced technological options for replacing the current facilities, signaling a commitment to upgrading the legislative infrastructure.

The meeting took place in the Cabinet Room of the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban and was chaired by Acting Speaker Barrister Kayser Kamal. Attendees included Opposition Leader Dr. Shafiqur Rahman, Housing and Public Works Minister Zakaria Taher, Law Minister Md. Asaduzzaman, Chief Whip Nurul Islam Moni, and Opposition Chief Whip Nahid Islam, alongside other senior officials.

During the meeting, a detailed presentation showcased various state-of-the-art sound systems currently in use globally. The Public Works Department outlined potential technological solutions, their technical capabilities, and a proposed implementation plan for the project. The presentation also highlighted the technical features, functionality, and compatibility of the suggested systems with parliamentary proceedings.
