Hezbut Tawheed's Dhaka city unit staged a human chain and protest rally in front of the National Press Club, denouncing what they described as "open threats, false propaganda, and inflammatory remarks" made by Hefazat-e-Islam in Noakhali.

The rally, which began at 11:00 am, protested speeches delivered at a Hefazat gathering held on Saturday at the Noakhali Zilla School ground. Mahbub Alam Mahfuz, President of Hezbut Tawheed's Dhaka city unit, characterized Hefazat's "mahfil" as an "extremist and provocative" assembly intended to disrupt Noakhali's peaceful environment.

Mahfuz alleged that Hefazat leaders made baseless accusations against Hezbut Tawheed and issued direct threats, including "burying, evicting, and driving them out of the country." He further accused Hefazat speakers of exploiting religious sentiment with misogynistic and hate-filled rhetoric to incite violence against a lawful movement.

Hezbut Tawheed members are demanding immediate legal action against individuals accused of spreading false propaganda, issuing threats, and making derogatory remarks about women. They referenced a 2016 attack on the home of Imam Hossain Mohammad Selim in Sonaiamuri, which resulted in the deaths of two members and the torching of properties, warning that similar violence is being instigated again.

Speakers at the rally included joint general secretaries Md Moshior Rahman and SM Shamsul Huda, Dhaka city student welfare secretary Mokhlesur Rahman Sumon, and joint women’s affairs secretary Ayesha Siddika.
