Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) has reported an alleged attempt by India's Border Security Force (BSF) to push six individuals, including four men and two women, into Bangladesh. The incident reportedly took place around 5:10 AM near the Samanta Border Outpost along the Maheshpur border in Jhenaidah.

According to a press release from the BGB Maheshpur Battalion-58, members of the Singamora Camp under BSF Battalion-59 allegedly tried to force the individuals across the border near pillar 55/MP. However, a BGB patrol detected the movement and prevented the group from entering Bangladesh.

The six individuals are currently located approximately 30 yards inside Indian territory from the zero line. The BGB has officially communicated the incident to the BSF. Lt Col Md Rafiqul Alam, Commanding Officer of BGB Maheshpur Battalion-58, confirmed the event and stated that the force remains on high alert to ensure border security and maintain peace in the region.
