The results for the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations for 2026 will be released simultaneously nationwide on August 10. The announcement came yesterday from the Bangladesh Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee.

This date marks a delay from the initial projection. Education Minister ANM Ehsanul Hoque Milon had previously instructed the education boards on June 8 to finalize preparations for a July 20 publication. However, the boards were unable to meet this deadline. Prof Syed Akhtaruzzaman, chairman of the Dhaka Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education and president of the coordination committee, cited several factors, including recent unrest, as reasons for the delay.

More than 1.8 million candidates from 30,666 educational institutions participated in the examinations. These included the SSC exams under nine general education boards, Dakhil exams under the Madrasah Education Board, and SSC (Vocational) exams under the Technical Education Board. The written portions took place from April 21 to May 20, followed by practical exams from June 7 to June 14. The committee will issue separate notices detailing how students can access their results.
